Financial Literacy Events

Through our partnership with BSE Global, I designed a series of Financial Literacy events with a strategic incentive - free Nets tickets at the Barclays Center. I understood that basketball fans aligned well with our target audience for these events and it indeed drove a strong attendance among college students who were eager to enhance their financial knowledge.

These events were effective as it attracted a diverse group of students who were able to engage in insightful discussions with industry experts on essential money management skills.

For the company, we leveraged the event to create engaging social media content, and promoted our app, which inspired some attendees to open an account.

Working Together to Empower Women

In 2024, we were excited to welcome a woman into our company's C-suite. I immediately knew I could leverage her as one of the panelists for our next Women's Networking Event. As we were still in partnership with the New York Liberty, we tapped into them once again to put together another empowering panel.

Similar to the year before, I led the effort, ensuring every aspect of the event was handled to make it run smoothly. This included RSVPs, food & drinks, chair set ups etc. We also had the opportunity to co-brand merch for attendees to take home. The event was also captured and shared onto our social channels.

The event featured an insightful discussion between Arianne Adams, CSO & Head of Derivatives at Webull, and Keia Clarke, CEO of the New York Liberty, and again, moderated by Johnna Hayward, Head of Strategy and Partnership Marketing for the New York Liberty.

Her Journey: Women’s Empowerment Panel

In 2023, I proposed the idea of an in-office networking event for Women's History Month, which led to our first-ever Women’s Networking Panel in partnership with the New York Liberty.

I worked closely with the NY Liberty team to ensure every detail of the event was perfect. Together, we crafted thought-provoking questions for the moderator, ensured the run of show was flawless, and made sure the content was captured to amplify the event on social media.

The panel featured three incredible women: Toni Robinson, President and Director of Programming for Digital Girl, Inc.; Devin Graham, Head of DEI Strategy at Cloud Recruiting for Google; and Dana Wilson, CEO and Founder of Chip. Moderated by Johnna Hayward, Head of Strategy and Partnership Marketing for the New York Liberty, the discussion highlighted crucial topics like overcoming imposter syndrome, embracing confidence, and the power of women supporting each other.
